New Low-Cost Ski Route From Stansted To Spain

Jet2 has just announced a new weekly route from London Stansted Airport to Lleida, gateway to Andorra in the Catalan region of northern Spain. The new seasonal service starts on 23 December 2018 and will depart Sundays until March 2019.

Away from the sun-drenched Costas, Spain is growing as a ski destination with well-maintained runs and some affordable hotels and resorts. The Lleida region in the Pyrenees offers skiers flying from Essex access to 11 ski resorts. Early snowfall this year is expected to creates a record year and the longest season ever. Although the area is still almost unknown to British skiers, Baqueira is one of the largest and most popular ski resorts at 1,500m with 149km of well-maintained runs. Spanish fans include King Juan Carlos who has a holiday home here.
